Gorge Latino Conservation Week
Celebrate Latino Conservation Week in Hood River!
It’s Latino Conservation Week and our team is excited to join events happening here in the Columbia River Gorge! This Friday, July 21st, Columbia Land Trust and the East Cascades Oak Partnership will join other community organizations in Hood River for a panel discussion on environmental and social justice issues. There will be food to enjoy and environmental organizations sharing information about their conservation work. Stop by and say hello to our team!
Other local activities include a poetry reading by Guatemalan writer Jacobo Payes on Thursday, July 20th, and a guided hike through Catherine Creek with Friends of the Columbia Gorge and the Forest Service on Saturday, July 22nd. Thursday’s poetry event is primarily in Spanish, other events are accessible in both Spanish and English.
See the flyer below for details!
