COVID-19 Response

Columbia Land Trust is taking steps to do its part in slowing the spread of the COVID-19 illness.

(UPDATED MARCH 24, 2020) Columbia Land Trust is monitoring the continued spread of the COVID-19 illness in the Pacific Northwest. The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners is paramount, as is the public health of our communities, particularly those most vulnerable to this illness. Following the guidance of public health professionals, and the Stay-At-Home orders issued by both Oregon and Washington on March 23rd, 2020, we have taken the following steps:

• Required staff to work from home, restricting access to offices to those performing essential on-site activities. To contact us, you can find our office phone numbers and a general contact us form here. If you know who you’d like to contact, you can find our individual email addresses on our staff page.
• Postponed or instituted teleconferencing options for all meetings.
• Cancelled all events scheduled for March and April. We will post updates to public events on our event webpages.
• Suspended Backyard Habitat Certification Program site visits and outreach events. This includes site assessments, certification visits, and tabling at events.
• Limited fieldwork to mission-critical activities and instituted guidelines for essential fieldwork to practice social distancing and take additional measures to protect employee health and safety.

During these tumultuous times, we want you in our Land Trust community to know that we are here to help in any way we can. We will continue to keep our mission in front of us. Our offices are closed, but the Land Trust is continuing operations remotely. We will observe the Governors’ orders and any other rules issued, and we will follow the guidance of the public health community as this situation unfolds. We will update this post as additional steps are taken or timelines change.
