2016 Conservation and Restoration Report
Each year, our dedicated staff of conservationists and land managers pack an incredible volume of work into twelve months. 2016 was our biggest year yet, with more than 3,500 acres permanently conserved, and sites across our service area restored and revitalized through our stewardship efforts.

Highlights include the conservation of 540 acres of sandhill crane habitat, the protection of 2,400 acres of working forestland at Klickitat Canyon, and the reconnection of Columbia County’s Kerry Island to the historic floodplain of Westport Slough, just to name a few.
The report also details the 2017 restoration efforts already underway at our properties, in addition to the lands we’re working to conserve by year’s end.
